Every time some breathless journalist writes “Gangster Nancy Sinatra,” a publicist gets her wings. This, though, is an image of the infamous liner notes from Sinatra’s album “Boots” and you can see where “sings good” falls in order of importance. It’s a nice reminder of how comparing Lana Del Rey to Sinatra is not only apt, but ferociously cynical.
